【摘要】:Thisstandardshallapplytotankvehiclestobeusedforthetransportationofasphaltornormallystableflammableandcombustibleliquidswithaflashpointbelow200?F(93.4?C).Itshallprovideminimumrequirementsforthedesignandconstructionofcargotanksandtheirappurtenancesandshallsetforthcertainmatterspertainingtotankvehicles.Theprovisionsofthisstandardshallnotprecludetheuseofadditionalsafeguardsfortankvehiclesusedforthetransportationofflammableandcombustibleliquidshavingcharacteristicsintroducingadditionalfactorssuchashighratesofexpansion,instability,corrosiveness,andtoxicity.Theprovisionsofthisstandardshallalsoapplytocutbackasphaltsthathaveflashpointsbelow100?F(37.8?C)andtoliquidstransportedattemperatureselevatedabovetheirflashpoints.TherequirementsforaircraftfuelservicingtankvehiclesshallbeinaccordancewithNFPA407,StandardforAircraftFuelServicing.AtankvehicletransportingaflammableorcombustibleliquidininterstateserviceshallbeconsideredtobeinconformitywiththisstandardwhileitisininterstateserviceifitmeetstherequirementsoftheU.S.DepartmentofTransportation"HazardousMaterialsRegulations,"Title49,CodeofFederalRegulations,Parts171-179.
